Registration & Entries

  • You must register for the 2026 series via SiEntries (once only).
  • You will be issued a race number when you register – collect it at your first race and keep it for the full 2026 series.
  • Enter each race individually. Entries close at midnight the day before.
  • No entry on the day and no cash entries. Do not turn up if you have not entered.

On Race Night

  • Bring your number to registration to be scanned before every race (VERY IMPORTANT). This ensures all runners are accounted for.
  • If you decide not to run after scanning, or drop out, you must report to organisers at registration or the finish.
  • All runners must register and report to the finish—failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Race Numbers

  • Numbers must be worn clearly on your chest.
  • Numbers pinned to shorts are difficult to scan, cause delays, and is unfair on volunteers – forcing them into awkward contact in muddy, sweaty conditions. This is not an ultra – pin your number on your on chest!
  • Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • Do not run with someone else’s number.
  • Please bring your own pins.

Age Categories

  • Age categories are based on your age on 31 December 2026.
  • Minimum age: 15 (by 1 January 2026).

NIMRA League

  • Tollymore and Millstone races are part of the NIMRA League.
  • If you want to run more races like the Hill & Dales, join NIMRA (reduced fees for new members) and take part in the League. See NIMRA website for details.

Slieve Donard Race

  • Slieve Donard is a standalone race with new race numbers. Entries when open will be available here: Slieve Donard Race.

Safety Rules (Important)

  • Mandatory kit: compass, whistle, waterproof jacket (hood & taped seams), waterproof trousers, hat, gloves.
  • No kit = no start / disqualification.
  • You are responsible for your own safety.
  • You cannot run with headphones, poles, dogs, prams, or children.
  • See the Fell Running Association’s ‘Runners Rules’ for full details on running mountain races.

Cut-Offs & Marshal/Organiser Instructions

  • You must follow all marshal and organiser instructions at all times.
  • Cut-off times are applied at the discretion of the Race Organisers.
  • These are in place for your safety and to protect volunteers on exposed summits, often in poor weather and fading light.
  • If stopped at a cut-off follow the marshal down to the finish.
  • Ignoring instructions will result in disqualification and your race will not count for the series.
  • Park responsibly, car share, respect the environment, and leave no trace. See the country-side code for full details on how to respect the Mournes.
  • Parking is very tight at some race locations – car sharing is a must!
