Newcastle Athletic Club has built a reputation second to none for development of outstanding athletic talent, exemplified by the number of internationals and championship winning runners produced.

This local club is where the champions of today and tomorrow are nurtured and developed through expert coaching in a friendly environment open to all abilities.

Newcastle AC Junior member, Eoghan Totten, is the current British and Irish Junior Mountain Running Champion and 2010 Down Schools 5000m Champion.  He will also be representing Ulster at the Celtic Games in August in the Boys U18 3000m.

Newcastle Athletic Club has to date made a substantial investment in specialised training courses for all its coaches and the supply of new equipment. The popularity of an active lifestyle and athletics in general has seen the junior club membership grow incredibly fast (currently 60 kids are members and we expect this to increase). Training for both boys and girls in all disciplines of athletics takes places in partnership with Shimna Integrated College.

To enable us to develop the potential of all our young athletes we require financial support to purchase training and racing kit.
