Celebrations at Junior Training

At junior training this week, we celebrated the recent massive achievements of one of our Junior members.

After our Hill running group returned from the Mast, another group from a tough session on Bath Lane Steps and our mini juniors brought their heart rates down after their sprint session, we gathered together in the hall to celebrate one of our own.

After securing National U13 XC gold in December, Harry added another incredible accolade by becoming Ulster Schools Champion at Mallusk last week. To top it all off, he was also called up today to represent the Northern Ireland Squad at the London Mini Marathon — a fantastic achievement and one the whole club is immensely proud of.
To mark the occasion and launch a new tradition, everyone enjoyed some celebratory cake, kindly arranged by our new junior chairperson, Patrick, who enlisted the talents of his lovely and incredibly skilled wife, Mari, to create it. Every junior got to share in the excitement as we celebrated the club’s first-ever member to win an Ulster Schools title.

If that cake doesn’t inspire someone to go out and win a big race, I don’t know what will!
