Despite a small turnout, the quality was high at the NI Masters XC in Lurgan Park on Saturday 24th January.

After a week of rain, conditions were extremely soggy underfoot, making the 2k undulating lap particularly challenging, with a strong headwind on the opening half of each lap.

The Masters Men’s team of David McNeilly, Connaire McVeigh, Aidan Brown, David O’Flaherty and Luke McMullan tackled the 6k race well and finished an excellent 3rd overall and also 2nd M45-54 team.

Newcastle Men finish 3rd

In the Women’s Masters 4k race, Sam McNeilly finished 22nd overall.
