The UK Athletics British Fell & Hill Relays were held on Saturday, 18th October 2025 at Penantigi Isaf Farm, Dinas Mawddwy, Powys, hosted by Meirionnydd Running Club.

Newcastle AC Team
Despite forecasts, runners enjoyed excellent conditions after travelling by coach via Dublin with Eamon Rooney Coach Hire, in the safe hands of driver and Newcastle AC member Barry Og McConville.
Course legs included solo runs, pairs, and paired navigation over steep grassy terrain. Newcastle AC fielded teams in Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Men’s Veterans categories:
· Men’s Open: Lindsay Crutchley, Ethan McMullan & Ashley Crutchley, David Hicks & David McNeilly, Patrick McDaid
· Women’s Open: Rebecca Magee, Lindsay Gibson & Grace White, Sam McNeilly & Ciara Savage, Angie Kerr
· Men’s Veterans: Pete Grant, Micky Flynn & Marty McMullan, Deon McNeilly & Eamon McCrickard, Seamus White
Out of 200 participating teams, Newcastle AC placed 26th (Men’s Open), 28th (Women’s Open), and 33rd (Men’s Veterans).

The day after the competition, Rebecca Magee , David Hicks, Patrick McDade, Lindsay and Ashley Crutchley still had the energy to run over Snowdon, setting off in the dark to make it back in time for the coach departure to the ferry at 10 am.
