Saturday 6th September, was the Ben Nevis race. Conditions were good despite poor visibility at the summit but very welcome compared to the extreme heat last year.

Tom Crudgington was the 1st Newcastle ac in coming 8th (1st U23) in 1:44:23, (last year 1:54:25) followed closely behind by Ashley Crutchley in 1:46:57. This was Ashley’s first race at the ‘Ben’. David Hicks came in 2:03:36 and Pearse Brogan was 2:45:15.

A fantastic achievement for the four on what is a brutal race.
