Castlewellan parkrun – Run Director’s Report – Saturday 23 September 2017

This week 566 people ran, jogged and walked the course at our inaugural event. Everyone was a first timer and everyone recorded a PB!

Male placings:
Michael DYER (SM30-34) of North Down AC, was first over the line in 17:21
Peter MCCONVILLE (VM50-54) of Newry triathlon Club, was second over the line in 18:16
Jared MARTIN (JM15-17) of City of Scrabo Striders, was third over the line in 18:22

Female placings:
Eimear NICHOLL (SW30-34) of St. Peter’s AC, was first (13th overall) over the line in 19:37
Joanne FOSTER (VW35-39) of East Down AC, was second (27th overall) over the line in 20:19
Diane WILSON (VW45-49) of Dromore AC, was third (31st overall) over the line in 20:48

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Peter MCCONVILLE (VM50-54) – 81.39% for the time of 18: (2nd overall)
James William BROWN (VM55-59) – 78.89% for the time of 19:49 (16th overall)
Diane WILSON (VW45-49) – 78.69% for the time of 20:48 (31st overall)

The male record is held by Michael DYER who recorded a time of 17:21 on 23 September 2017 (event number 1)

The female record is held by Eimear NICHOLL who recorded a time of 19:37 on 23rd
