Road Running Captain’s Update;27th July 2015

  1. Three NAC members attended the second planned Parkrun in Craigavon and all recorded PBs – Joe McCann (19:09), The Prophet (19:23) and Ronnie Horrox (21:17) – next planned trip is Saturday 22 August – everyone welcome and the scrambled eggs in Gilberry Fayre are worth it!
  2. Session this Tuesday is 8 x half mile efforts in Castlewellan – 6:30pm at Hillyard House.
  3. Wednesday is the RGU Downpatrick 10k – please support this local race if you can.
  4. Entries for Dublin Marathon increase from 70 to 80 Euro on 1 August – get your entry in early to secure the best price!
  5. Crawfordsburn 5k trail race is on 5 August –  a great multi-terrain 5k!
  6. Leitrim 5 is on 8 August and we need to see a sea of red and yellow vests on the start line
  7. Advance notice of the Laganside 10k (flat and perfect for a PB) on 6 September, followed by a social gathering in Belfast organised by Jack O’Hare – further details to follow. Entries are limited to 1000 and 335 have registered already in the first 4 days.
